Performance opportunities for adult dancers

The Bonnie Gray Dancers performance company gives adult students the opportunity to take their dance experience beyond weekly classes and onto the stage.

This group is for dancers who enjoy learning choreography, rehearsing with a committed group, and performing in seasonal shows throughout the year. Dancers participate in a weekly dance class plus a weekly rehearsal class during the session connected to each performance.

If you love the idea of performing again, trying something new, or being part of a dedicated dance group, this may be the next step for you.

Interested dancers are invited to attend an audition class, where they will learn choreography and get a feel for the group. Audition dates will be announced as they become available.

What to Expect

The Bonnie Gray Dancers perform in annual seasonal shows and select performances throughout the year. Many productions are presented as a “run,” which means the same show is performed multiple times. Dancers must be available for the full performance run for the show they are joining.

Annual performance opportunities typically include:

Patriotic show: November / Fall session
Holiday show: December / Late Fall session
Broadway / Hollywood show: April / Winter session

Additional performance opportunities may be scheduled throughout the year. There are typically no shows between May and September.

Participation in the Bonnie Gray Dancers requires consistent attendance and preparation.

Dancers are expected to participate in one dance class and one rehearsal class per week. This applies during the session connected to the performance. Soloists and small groups are also expected to participate in group numbers. The company is built around teamwork, consistency, and showing up for the full production.

Dancers are also responsible for purchasing their own costumes, tights, and shoes.
